Siraat Leadership Academy

Cross the bridge from learning to leading.

Develop the judgement, skills, and experience to lead with purpose — at university, in your community, and beyond.

OUR LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

Leadership Is More Than Holding a Position.

A title doesn't make someone a leader.

Leadership is knowing how to build a vision, bring people with you, navigate disagreement, make difficult decisions, communicate with purpose, and turn ideas into outcomes.

OUR TRAINING

Delivered by leaders who have been there.

Our programmes are designed around those moments. Our training is delivered by sabbatical officers, graduates of the world's leading universities, and industry experts.

From Student Union Officers managing complex organisations to Year 9 students leading their first project, we create practical environments where participants can learn, practise, reflect, and lead.

FOR STUDENT UNION OFFICERS

From Student Leadership to Professional Impact

Student Union Officers leave university with experiences that can rival those gained in many early-career roles, leading teams, managing budgets, representing thousands of students, negotiating with senior stakeholders, campaigning for change, and governing complex organisations.

The problem is that these experiences are often difficult to translate into language employers understand.

Our Student Union Officers Training closes that gap.

01

Skills Translation

Turning experience into language employers understand

We help officers identify the professional capabilities embedded within their leadership experience and translate them into language that resonates with employers. From stakeholder management and strategic planning to negotiation, governance, project management, communications, and organisational leadership, participants learn how to recognise the value of what they have already done.

02

Employability Labs

Turning leadership experience into competitive applications

Practical sessions focused on turning leadership experience into competitive applications. Our programmes can include CV and LinkedIn development, professional storytelling, personal branding, mock interviews, assessment-centre simulations, and recruitment strategy.

03

Leadership Development

Leading effectively in complex environments

We go beyond employability. Officers develop the skills required to lead effectively in complex environments, including vision-setting, decision-making, conflict resolution, influencing, strategic communication, governance, and managing competing interests.

04

Impact & Reflection

Understanding and articulating the impact you have created

Participants leave with a clearer understanding of the impact they have created, and the ability to articulate it. Programmes can culminate in a Student Leadership Impact Portfolio, giving officers a structured record of their achievements, skills, and contribution that can be carried into future applications and professional settings.

Our team brings first-hand experience from within higher education, with former Student Presidents, Sabbatical Officers, trustees, education advocates, and professionally trained coaches among our contributors.

This means our programmes are not built around abstract leadership theory. They are informed by the environments in which young people actually learn, lead, work, and create change.

OUR PROGRAMMES

Two pathways. One standard of leadership.

Student Union Officers

Leadership development, employability, skills translation, and professional positioning for elected student leaders.

Young Leaders

Leadership development for students in Years 9 to 13 through workshops, projects, mentorship, and immersive experiences.

Leadership Starts Before the Title.

Whether you're developing the next generation of young leaders or equipping today's student representatives for life beyond university, Siraat builds programmes that turn experience into capability, and capability into impact.
